the littlest of things...

laundry drying on the line...

wicker laundry baskets in the green grass...

bumbles going about their business...

dappled sunlight through the treetops...

rain falling on the green fields...
{ever so rarely this year though}

running through the sprinkler...
and sprinkler rainbows...

sharing a best friends necklace with my 7 year old niece...

blowing bubbles...

picking these wild gems...

eating cheese & apples...

donuts...
{and iced coffee}

ice cream...
 {with crunchies}

{or with rainbow sprinkles}

country roads with red barns...

and round bales...

riding the ferris wheel at the carnival...

spending as much time out of doors as possible...

it's the littlest of things that make summer...
well, SUMMER!
^_^

I hope you're all enjoying yours so far.
What makes summer *Summer* to you?

Much love,
Miss Michelle

  2. Great post Michelle! Isn't summer the best?! I must agree that hanging laundry out to dry is one of my favorite summer pleasures. I loved your photos of the farmers' fields, just beautiful!

  3. Beautiful sheets ~ look like a Cath Kidson print! Pretty holly hocks too. And all those kiddos just enjoying summer bubbles and sprinkler ~ summer is fun! And all the goodies ~ ice cream and donuts ~ now that's a treat! In the summer, I like walking down our road in the shade of the morning, listening to the creek flowing over the rocks, and having a talk with the Lord along the way. Ezra is comes along too. :-)
    Enjoy your days, ♥

    1. Thanks Anne! They do look like Cath Kidston! They are vintage & I found them a few years ago at my favorite thrift store in nearly new condition. I felt so blessed to find such a lovely treasure!
      Oh, that sounds lovely. I can almost hear the creek now. ^_^ There's nothing quite like the sound if water flowing, is there? :) Enjoy! ❤

  5. This post abounds with loveliness and joy - and so many of my favourite simple pleasures, too. Really, is there anything more comforting and beautiful smelling then the scent of air dried linens?

    Many hugs & joyful start of July wishes,
    ♥ Jessica
