Aunt G's fox scarf...

What a delightfully quick knit this adorable faux stole was!
Although, the original pattern was in some sort of Scandinavian language
so the translation was less than perfect.
(As if knit speak weren't confusing enough at times! haha!)
Looking at other's examples on Ravelry proved a big help!
I modified the head shape, ears, & face coloring.

I embroidered the eyes & nose with some black yarn I had leftover from another project.
I decided on embroidery rather than buttons.
(Sometimes buttons can look a little spooky.)

I sent Aunt G a pic & she said that she loves it. :D

  1. You did a great job!! I really like how you embroidered the eyes and mouth. This is such a clever idea for a scarf. I have a pattern saved to make Jemimah a little bow scarf that pulls through itself- maybe next year. : )

  2. Thanks, Sarah! One of my nephews thought it was a kitty so now I'm planning a kitty cat version for his Momma, my sister Kelsey. :) (You really could do tons of different animals!)

That bow scarf sounds so cute. I'd love to see it once you make it! :D

    1. I don't think the instructions are available anymore. It looks like the blog I got them from has closed. So sorry! : / I would suggest looking around on Ravelry.com for more patterns! : )
